The Sanctum of the Immortal is a small secret area only accessible on Ultimate Difficulty.
Entrance is gained as part of the secret "quest" relating to Daila Thornsbury, and the following items are required.
- Stormheart
- Dravis' Letter to Daila - First Entry
- Dravis' Letter to Daila - Second Entry
- Dravis' Letter to Daila - Third Entry
With these items in the player inventory, a Bound Spirit will spawn in the hidden area of the Gates of Necropolis (Northeast from the Riftgate, behind some Aether Crystals and a wagon).
Giving the Bound Spirit a Salt Bag (the Amulet every new character starts with,) will cause a Chthonic Rift to open, leading to the Sanctum. From there the secret level Edge of Reality can be accessed.
